Seven firms are interested in the P12.55-billion Clark International Airport Expansion Project under the government's public-private partnership (PPP) program.
In an emailed statement, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said seven firms submitted bid documents for the design, engineering, and construction of the Clark International Airport new terminal building.
"The firms which submitted bid documents are China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd., China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd., Sinohydro Corporation Limited, the joint venture of Megawide-GMR Infrastructure (Singapore) Pte. The bids were submitted at the BCDA office in Taguig City on December 5.
"The technical proposals of the eligible firms will be opened on December 7, 2017. These will be subjected to thorough evaluation by the SBAC," the BCDA said.
The SBAC is the Special Bids and Awards Committee for the Clark airport expansion project.
"Qualified bidders will then move on to the next phase of the bidding which is the opening and evaluation of financial documents scheduled on December 14, 2017," it added.
The project will be implemented by the BCDA under a build-and-transfer scheme.
