Tigerair Taiwan to launch Cebu-Taipei flights with $39 one-way seat sale


Tigerair Taiwan on Monday said it will start direct flights between Taipei and Cebu starting December.

Flights to and from the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport starts on Dec. 1, 2018, the low-cost airline said in a statement.

The flights will be four times a week. Flights will depart Taipei on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday while flights from Cebu will department on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

“We are happy to let everyone know in the Philippines that we will soon be serving flights from Cebu to Taipei,” said Bernard Hsu, Tigerair Taiwan’s spokesperson and commercial director.

“We look forward to this development before the year ends,” he said.

In conjunction with the new route, Tigerair is having an opening sale of $39 for one-way flights from Cebu to Taipei. The travel period is from Dec. 1, 2018 to March 30, 2019.

The sale started at 10:00 a.m. on September 17 and will last until Tuesday, September 18.
