Jollibee gives a sneak peek of London branch to ‘esteemed’ guests


“Esteemed Philippine cabinet officials” this week had the privilege of being the first diners at Jollibee’s first branch in the UK.

The sneak peek was held weeks ahead of its grand opening at Earl’s Court, London on October 20. 

 

 

Among those who attended were Taguig Representative Pia Cayetano, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, British Ambassador to the Philippines and to Palau Daniel Pruce, Consul of the Philippines in London Rommel Romato.

The Duterte administration’s economic managers are in London for The Philippine Economic Briefing at the Four Seasons Hotel in Park Lane.

This leg of the briefing “highlighted the Philippines as one of the fastest growing economies in Asia and as an attractive investment destination under a reform-minded leadership focused on delivering results.”

The PEB was led by Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez, along with Budget Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto M. Pernia, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Diwa C. Guinigundo, Transportation Secretary Arthur P. Tugade, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar, and Bases Conversion and Development Authority President and CEO Vivencio B. Dizon.

Puyat and Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez joined the team in a series of meetings and roundtable discussions with British firms and companies.

Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) last June announced that they plan to open 500 new stores worldwide in 2018. In addition to the UK, JFC said it was looking at tapping new markets in Malaysia and Indonesia. —Aya Tantiangco/VDS, GMA News
