Jollibee applies for UK visa, then flies to London for first branch opening

Jollibee is packed and ready to open a branch in London’s Earl’s Court, its first in the UK.

In a set of photos posted on its Facebook page, the popular Filipino fast food chain showed one of its mascots going through the motions of preparing for the journey to the United Kingdom.

With a little help from British Ambassador to the Philippines Daniel Pruce, Jollibee was able to apply for and get his visa. He then booked accommodations from “Air Bee N’ Bee.”

The last photo shows Pruce sending off the mascot at the airport.

Jollibee’s branch in London is officially opening for business on Oct. 20, 2018.

Earlier this week, Jollibee gave a sneak peak of the London branch to special guests, mostly Philippine Cabinet officials. —Jessica Bartolome/VDS, GMA News
