AirAsia's latest fleet to offer higher passenger capacity


AirAsia's latest aircraft, which has 236 seats, will be able to offer higher passenger capacity and will open new routes with efficiency, according to a statement released Wednesday.

The aircraft, A321neo, also promises 20 percent reduced fuel burn and 50 percent less noise in comparison with previous generation aircrafts.

The fleet was received during a delivery ceremony in Hamburg, Germany. There company ordered a total of 353 units of the  A321neo aircrafts.

According to the statement, the aircraft will initially operate from its hub in Kuala Lumpur to cities across Asia.

Its first destinations include Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Singapore, Bangkok, and Shenzhen. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
