Cebu Pacific gives free seats to passengers with no check-in luggage


MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Pacific, the airline of the country's fifteenth richest family, is offering "absolutely zero all-in fares" for travelers who will fly with no check-in bags. Passengers who bring check-in luggage will pay only P200 for an all-in deal. The Go Lite seat reservation starts Friday evening until September 21 for travel from October 16 to December 17. The Gokongweis' Cebu Pacific will shoulder taxes and surcharges. “The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) released the domestic passenger carriage numbers for the first half of the year and Cebu Pacific came out on top. Because of this, we are giving out absolutely free seats to thank every Juan for their continued support," said Cebu Pacific Vice President Candice Iyog. Iyog said Cebu Pacific is the first airline in Asia which is practically giving out free flights. Cebu Pacific is saving 50,000 seats for to its 27 domestic destinations for the sale. Reducing the weight carried by an aircraft is among many airlines' ways of cutting expenses amid soaring fuel prices. - GMANews.TV
