Manila to host int'l franchise conference-expo

The Philippines will host in September an international franchise conference and expo where international experts will talk about franchising opportunities across the globe. In an announcement, the Philippine Embassy in Washington said the 2011 International Franchise Conference and Expo will be held September 22 to 25 at the SMX Convention Center. “The Conference will feature international experts and speakers who will talk about franchising updates and opportunities across the globe, while the Expo will provide the platform for Asian brands to go international and global brands to enter the Asian market," it said. Before the conference, the Philippine Franchise Association will host the twin international meetings of the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation and the World Franchise Council. Expected to attend the meetings are delegates from 43 member countries of the two world umbrella franchise organizations, the embassy said. Interested parties may register online at the Franchise Asia 2011 website, the embassy said. The three-day International Franchise Expo aims to provide the platform for Asian brands to go international and global brands to enter the ASEAN market. “Considered a franchising gateway to Asia, the Philippine International Franchise Expo continues to grow in size and has consistently generated a growing number of prospects looking for business opportunities and partnerships," it added. — LBG, GMA News
