EDSA Shangri-La Hotel to undergo P512-M renovation

Edsa Shangri-la Hotel in Mandaluyong City will undergo two major renovation projects that will cost P512 million. Hong Kong-based EDSA Shangri-la Hotel and Resort Inc. is pouring in P385.631 million to modernize and upgrade the Mandaluyong hotel’s Garden Wing and the Horizon Club Lounge with a combined total of 192 rooms. The company will infuse another P126.5 million for a spa with 10 treatment rooms in the hotel. It told the Board of Investments that the projects will create 76 new jobs. The projects qualified for BOI incentives under the Tourist Accommodation Facility, and Healthcare and Wellness Products and Services activities of the 2007 Investment Priorities Plan. -GMANews.TV
