3 men accused of raping Pinay in UAE appear in court

MANILA, Philippines - Three men who were accused of raping a Filipina house helper in the United Arab Emirates appeared before the Fujairah Criminal Court, Gulf News reported on Monday. The report said two of the suspects, only identified as 21-year-old K.A.R. and 19-year-old A.A.J. were charged with rape, physical assault, and illegal entry. Both of them reside in Fujairah, one of the seven emirates in the UAE. The third suspect, identified as 17-year-old K.M.J., who claimed that he was having an affair with the Filipina, was charged with “complicity in the attack, by directing the two suspects to the victim’s room." Gulf News quoted police reports saying that the incident happened on February 8, when K.A.R and A.A.J. entered the room of the Filipina at her employer’s house in Mirbeh. It was K.M.J. who allegedly called the two suspects and led them to the house. During interrogation, K.A.R. reportedly admitted that he pinned down and raped the victim, while A.A.J., waiting for his turn, stood as lookout. The Filipina fought her attackers and managed to scream prompting the suspects to flee, with A.A.J. leaving his shoe behind. The report said the employer of the Filipina reported the incident to authorities who conducted a probe and arrested K.A.R. - GMANews.TV
