NDRRMC: British tourist injured in fall while touring Sagada


A British national was injured after falling three meters while touring the Sagada area in Mountain Province on Monday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Tuesday.

In its report, the NDRRMC said the incident involving Derrick Walter White, 57, occurred at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

White lost his footing and fell three meters while touring the Sumaguing Cave, it said.

His tour guide Jallen Lumbag Kis-ing called for assistance, and local responders rescued him.

The British national was rushed to the St. Theodore's Hospital for treatment. He was then transferred to the Luis Hora Hospital. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
