ISSUES

• Election automation
  As spokesperson of the advisory council on automated elections, he said it was impossible for the Comelec to implement automation in the May 2007 elections. The council cited three reasons for not recommending the pilot-testing of the automated voting: “First, the readiness of the solutions provider; second, the readiness of Comelec and; third, the lack of time" to set up the systems, train personnel and educate people on the new voting system.
