Number coding to be imposed in some parts of Parañaque starting Dec. 1


Due to heavy traffic in some areas there, Parañaque City will impose a number coding scheme on some thoroughfares there starting December 1.   Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic discipline head Yves Gonzalez said Resolution 158 will take effect this coming Thursday. Under the number coding scheme, vehicles are banned from major thoroughfares in Metro Manila depending on the last number of their license plates:

  • 1 and 2 on Mondays;
  • 3 and 4 on Tuesdays;
  • 5 and 6 on Wednesdays;
  • 7 and 8 on Thursdays; and
  • 9 and 0 on Fridays.
Under the resolution, number coding will be implemented on the following streets:   1. San Antonio Avenue, President Aguinaldo Street, Dominique Savio street, Japan street, Michael Rua street and France street in Barangay Don Bosco.   2. E. Rodriguez Street in Barangay Moonwalk, Doña Soledad Extension and Doña Soledad Avenue in Barangay Don Bosco.   3. East Service road from Dr.Santos Avenue up to FTI Parañaque area; West Service road from Dr.Santos Avenue up to Merville Park Subdivision Parañaque area.   A truck ban will also be strictly implemented along those streets. - VVP, GMA News
