NBI agent ‘accidentally’ shot inside NBI HQ in Manila

A National Bureau of Investigation agent was wounded following what police said was an accidental shooting inside the NBI main office in Manila Friday night.

 

The wounded NBI agent, identified as Joey Guillen, is confined at the Manila Doctors Hospital, radio dzBB reported early Saturday.

 

Guillen sustained two gunshot wounds, the report said.

 

Investigators from the Manila Police District Station 5 said they were alerted to the incident shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.

 

The dzBB report quoted the MPD as saying Guillen was trying to pacify one Atty. Nestor Pascual when he was “accidentally” shot.

 

Police are verifying claims that the incident occurred after a drinking session inside the NBI headquarters, the report added.

 

But the report also said the NBI has kept mum about the incident.  — ELR, GMA News
