19 hurt as bus slams into MRT post in Cubao

At least 19 people were reported injured after a passenger bus crashed into a Metro Rail Transit post in Cubao in Quezon City Monday afternoon. Traffic along the northbound portion of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue's service road near the Farmers' Plaza was briefly disrupted due to the accident, radio dzBB's Rodil Vega reported. "Mga 19 ang kasama sa hospital, minor injury lang. Walang natamaan na [ibang] sasakyan," MMDA supervisor Danilo del Mundo said. According to the initial Police investigation, the Mayamy Transport bus (PWX-758) went out of control and slammed into the MRT post at around 2 p.m. The bus was on its way to Fairview, Quezon City.
