Re-electionist John Rey Tiangco proclaimed winner in race for Navotas mayor


With 100 percent of precinct results counted, the city board of canvassers of Navotas has proclaimed incumbent re-electionist John Rey Tiangco the winner in the mayoralty race there.

Mayor Tiangco got 60,277 votes while his rival, incumbent vice mayor Patrick Joseph Javier, had  29,387 votes.

Representative Toby Tiangco, the mayor's brother, was also proclaimed winner with 69,107 votes in his re-election bid for the Navotas seat in the House of Representatives. The congressman's opponent, Atty. Rico Jose de Guzman got 17,084 votes.

Also proclaimed winner was Clint Geronimo for vice mayor of Navotas. — ELR, GMA News
