73-year-old man hurt as car falls from Greenhills carpark

(UPDATED 4:52 P.M.) A 73-year-old man was reported injured after a vehicle fell from the third floor of a carpark in San Juan City Friday afternoon.

GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas" posted on Twitter a photo of the white Galant that fell on two other vehicles from the third floor of the Greenhills Shopping Center carpark.

Barangay Greenhills Chairman Allan Yam cited initial information indicating the vehicle, a Mitsubishi Galant Super Saloon, fell on a Fortuner and a passenger car.

"Yung report namin stable naman, he was conscious," Yam told radio dzBB's Allan Gatus, referring to the car's occupant.

In an updated dzBB report, Hermie Garcia of Barangay Greenhills cited initial information identifying the man as 73-year-old Juanito Nocus.

Yam said it was possible the man - who was brought to Cardinal Santos Medical Center - could have had symptoms of a heart problem as he complained of chest pains.

"Mukhang nawalan ng control," he added.

A photo posted on GMA's YouScoop showed the white Galant ending up in almost a vertical position.

The photo also showed an ambulance at the scene.

Another photo posted on the Twitter account of government-run People's Television showed firefightes and a fire truck rushing to the scene while the site was sealed off. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
