5 killed, found dead in separate incidents in Metro Manila


Five people were either found dead or killed by unidentified gunmen in separate incidents around Metro Manila early Tuesday.

In Tondo, Manila, a suspected drug pusher identified as Rene Desierto was found dead on Delpan Bridge around 3 a.m.

His head was wrapped with a packing tape and a note saying “Pusher ako, ‘wag tularan” was found near his body.

The victim's wife said three motorcycle-riding men took Desierto last Sunday. She said they went to several police stations in Manila in an effort to locate the victim.

Police found five sachets of suspected shabu from Desierto's body.

His wife, however, said that her husband was neither a drug user or a pusher.

Quezon City

Meanwhile in Quezon City, a man was killed by unidentified suspects while attending a wake along Malakas Street, Barangay Commonwealth at around 1 a.m.

An eyewitness said the victim, identified as Ruel Cruz, was using his phone when he was shot several times in the head by unidentified suspects.

Other people attending the wake said two men on a motorcycle shot Cruz.

The assailants left a note near the victim's with the message: “Huwag niyo ko tularan, pusher ako.”

Cruz’s wife also denied that his husband was a drug pusher.

Meanwhile, an unidentified man was shot dead by an unknown suspect at past midnight in Barangay Payatas A.

The victim sustained several gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

Police have yet to identify the victim. The name "Abet" was tattooed on his body.

The victim's killers left a cardboard with the message: “T---ina mo baka ikanta mo pa kami!” near his body.

At least 10 empty shells of a .45 pistol was found in the crime scene.

Parañaque City

In Parañaque City, a barker of a passenger jeepney was also shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen along Quirino Avenue corner M. Roxas Street in Brgy. Baclaran at past midnight.

The victim, identified only as alias Victor, was shot in the head and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital.

Another person, Jomel Ansano, also sustained several gunshot wounds on his left leg from the incident.

An eyewitness said he heard six gunshots in the area and saw the two gunmen wearing helmets escaped on a motorcycle.

Authorities said the victim was a drug user and had surrendered under Project Tokhang.

Recovered from the crime scene were two empty shells of a .45 pistol.

Malabon City

Meanwhile, a block leader identified as Anthony Leyte was also killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen on General Borromeo Street in Barangay Longos in Malabon City at around 2 a.m.

The victim was on his way home when the shooting happened.

The shooters also left a note “Wag akong tularan! Pusher ako! Adik ako!” near the victim's body.

The barangay's watchmen said Leyte was not included in their drugs watchlist.

Police, however, found several sachets of shabu on Leyte.
