Lovers caught in the act, stabbed to death

A man surrendered to the police early Wednesday morning after he stabbed to death his live in partner and her male companion, GMA News' Vonne Aquino reported on "Unang Balita."

The stabbing incident took place at the MRB Phase 3 Barangay Commonwealth in Quezon City.

A witness related that before 12 midnight on Tuesday he saw the suspect, identified as Bernardo Tolitol, knocking on the door of his house.

Tolitol said that he spent some time in the province and that his live in partner, Marilou Bulat-ag, was not answering his phone calls.

He said that when he got home, he "caught them in the act."

The male victim was later identified as Jhonie Gulas.

Tolitol related that the couple dressed before Bulat-ag opened the door.

"Pagbukas sinuntok ako dito at tsaka sinaksak ako ng gunting. Ito sugat ko oh. Sinaksak ko silang dalawa ganyan," Tolitol recounted.

The suspect is in the custody of the local police. — BAP, GMA News
