State prosecutor shot dead outside Caloocan City home 

A state prosecutor was shot and killed by motorcycle-riding men in front of his home in Caloocan City on Monday morning.

A radio dzBB report identified the victim as Diosdado Azarcon of the Caloocan City Prosecutor's Office.

Azarcon was walking to his car, which was just a few steps away from his home, when he was repeatedly shot by the assailants.

The shooting happened shortly after 8 a.m. along 9th Avenue.

Police said the prosecutor sustained three gunshot wounds. —report from Allan Gatus/ALG, GMA News
