MRT, LRT to provide free rides on Independence Day
As part of the celebration of Independence Day, commuters can avail of free Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 and Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) rides on Monday, June 12.
LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 said on Twitter that passengers will be able to enjoy free rides at certain hours of the day — from 7 a.m to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The free rides will coincide with the launch, on the same day, of the government's free public Wi-Fi along EDSA.
