A fire hit a multi-storey building in Barangay Caniogan in Pasig City on Monday evening, GMA News' Mav Gonzales reported on "Saksi."
The firefighters had to use a crane to reach the higher floors where a storage room for office furniture is located.
The fire was reported by 6 p.m. and was raised to fourth alarm by 8 p.m., requiring four or more firefighting units in the area.
At past 10 p.m., Task Force Alpha was raised.
The fire started on the third floor and reached the fourth floor.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel are having difficulty in putting the fire under control as it was also noted that the site is just less than 50 meters away from a gasoline station.
As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, the BFP are still trying to put out the fire.
The fire was pronounced under control before 9 a.m. Tuesday, dzBB reported.
