MJ denies telling Kulot's mom that Carl Angelo planned hold-up

A friend of slain teenagers Carl Angelo Arnaiz and Reynaldo "Kulot" de Guzman denied that he told the latter's mother about plans made that evening to hold up a taxi.

In an interview with Chino Gaston on "24 Oras" on Friday, the boy named MJ belied the claim of De Guzman's mother Lina Gabriel that he had told her about Arnaiz's plan to rob a taxi on the night they were last seen together.

"Ewan ko po, nagulat na lang po ako sa napanood kaninang umaga. Sana po bawiin niya yung mga salita niya sa TV," the boy said.

The boy's grandfather was also livid about the claims of Gabriel.

"Bawiin niya! Kung narinig niya yung sabi-sabi, wala naman katotohan na yun," he said.

MJ, who is no longer going to school, said he has been unable to go out of their house because of fears.

"Natatakot po, mamaya po puntahan kami rito sa bahay. Hindi po ako naglalalabas, hahanapin po ako diyan," he said.

Meanwhile, Gabriel's husband Eduardo Gabriel also said there should be no credence given to his wife's claims.

"Tuliro po utak ng asawa ko kaya hindi po totoo lahat ng sinasabi niya," he said.

Doctors on Thursday said Lina may have been suffering from post-traumatic stress. —Jamil Santos/JST, GMA News
