Entire Pasay precinct relieved for 'pocketing' robbery victim's money — NCRPO chief

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Oscar Albayalde on Monday said he has ordered the relief of an entire community precinct of the Pasay City Police Station.

Albayalde said in an interview on Unang Balita that a total of 35 personnel, including the commander, of the Police Community Precinct 3 in Pasay City had been ordered relieved from their posts.

The NCRPO said the relief order was based on a complaint that PCP 3's members pocketed a robbery victim's money.

"Mayroon tayong iniimbestigahan na complaint doon na may na-recover silang pera sa isang robbery at tinitingnan natin ang alegasyon na pinaghatihatian nila," Albayalde said.

The police official did not provide additional details of the case.

Last week, Albayalde ordered the the relief the entire Caloocan City police force due to several complaints against its members.

The last complaint before Albayalde's order was against a group of policeman who illegally raided a house in Caloocan City and took P300,000 worth of cellphones, two watches and a wallet.

Albayalde said they are also looking at other possible charges against the 14 policemen from the Police Community Precinct 4, including their team leader Senior Inspector Warren Peralta, for using a minor in the supposed operation and for allowing a supposed asset to carry a gun.

CCTV footage of the supposedly illegitimate operation showed the minor taking cellular phones initially picked up by a policeman.

Albayalde said the minor was a companion of the police asset.

Aside from the case of Peralta's group, Caloocan City policemen are also facing charges over the killing of teenagers Kian Loyd delos Santos and Carl Angelo Arnaiz.

Both teenagers were supposedly killed in separate gunfights, but the Public Attorney's Office said they could have been "intentionally" killed by policemen. —ALG, GMA News
