PSG reports shooting incident at Malacañang compound

The Presidential Security Group reported a shooting incident involving one of its officers within the compound of Malacañang Palace on Tuesday morning.

PSG spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mike Aquino said the officer was a certain Major Gonzaga.

A News To Go report said the incident happened at around 9:20 a.m. inside Gonzaga's office located within the PSG Compound.

The report said the PSG will issue an official statement and is still investigating the incident.

A radio dzBB report earlier said the shooting incident happened near the presidential residence Bahay Pagbabago within the PSG Complex.

It was not clear if President Rodrigo Duterte was in the presidential residence when the shooting incident happened. —reports from Tuesday Niu and Joseph Morong/ALG/KVD, GMA News
