Riot breaks out at QC Jail
A riot broke out between two gangs at the Quezon City Jail before dawn Friday.
According to a report by Super Radyo dzBB's Allan Gatus on Unang Balita on Friday, the riot occurred around 3:30 a.m. between the Batang City Jail and the Bahala Na Gang.
The tension started after an inmate member of the Bahala Na Gang unintentionally hit a pail with water, which splashed on an inmate member of the Batang City Jail who was sleeping.
The gang members then threw objects and shouted at each other.
Members of the Quezon City Police District-Special Weapons and Tactics (QCPD-SWAT) team and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Special Tactics and Response (BJMP-STAR) Team went inside the jail to quell the riot.
