'WORN OUT ELECTRICAL SUB-COMPONENTS'

MRT3 train stops due to electrical failure, unloads 180 passengers

Another train of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) unloaded more than a hundred passengers after a technical glitch on Sunday morning.

In an advisory, MRT3 said a northbound train unloaded 180 passengers at GMA-Kamuning Station after suffering an electrical failure at 9:15 a.m.

It said the passengers boarded the next train, which arrived four minutes after they were  unloaded.

The MRT3 management said the electrical failure was due to "worn out electrical sub-components."

There are 11 trains running as of 12 p.m., it said. —ALG, GMA News
