Cop caught using illegal drugs in Caloocan

A police officer and another suspect were arrested in Caloocan City after they were caught using illegal drugs.

A Sunday report on GMA 7 news program "24 Oras Weekend" identified the arrested cop as Police Officer I Ramil Daludado, who claimed that he took drugs out of curiosity.

"Nung nakita ko po kasi na mayroong ano doon, 'Ano ba to?,' kako. Curiosity na anong meron diyan? May nagkalat na isang makintab na ganon," explained Daludado. "Tapos sa isang try, hindi ko nga po alam na droga nga po 'yun."

Arrested along with Daludado was his companion Teodoro Bornea. A sachet of shabu was also recovered during the police operation.

"Wag na nilang gayahin dahil wala kang patutunguhan," Bornea said.

The local police comander said Daludado's excuse was unacceptable. "Hindi natin (pwedeng) maging katwiran na curioso tayo dahil enforcers tayo eh," he emphasized. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/DVM, GMA News
