Passing medic alights Uber to aid traffic enforcer hit by bus

A rescue team member passing by in a car came to the aid of a traffic enforcer who was hit by a passenger bus along EDSA Muñoz, according to reports on Balitanghali and 24 Oras by Bam Alegre on Sunday.

The medic, Maynard Kho, was riding in an Uber vehicle when he came to the aid of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcer Ferdinand Junio, who was unconscious for several minutes after impact.

"Twenty minutes ho siyang unconscious, hindi niya raw alam nangyari sa kanya. Nagbaba daw eh, saka nagsakay eh bawal daw yata sa baba eh," Kho, a member of the city's rescue group, recalled.

"So parang hinabol niya, medyo parang umiwas, ayon ganon nangyari," Kho added.

The driver of the bus that hit Junio said he was shocked upon seeing the traffic enforcer.

"Biglang sumulpot eh. Nasa dilim kasi siya eh. Bigla siyang lumabas eh. Hindi ko alam na sisitahin niya ko, di ko naman alam na nandiyan siya eh," said Johsello Ib-ib.

Authorities are now conducting an investigation into the incident.

Junio is now in good condition, the report also said. — Anna Felicia Bajo/BM, GMA News
