Balikbayan complains of theft from luggage at NAIA

A balikbayan is complaining of theft upon finding that a few items had gone missing from his luggage after he picked it up from the baggage carousel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

In a report on GMA's "24 Oras Weekend," a certain Ramon Segarra said his luggage was missing perfumes, shoes, and other items when he checked his bag when he arrived home.

Segarra said there was a delay at the baggage carousel in NAIA Terminal 1. When his bag arrived, the lock and the zipper had been damaged.

He said he notified airport authorities, who then weighed his bag and told him that its current weight corresponded its recorded weight prior to arriving in the Philippines.

GMA News has reached out to airport authorities, but no response has been received as of posting. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA News
