10-year-old girl escapes abductors in Mandaluyong — police

A ten-year-old girl was almost abducted by three still unidentified suspects in Mandaluyong City, the Eastern Police District said.

An initial investigation by the EPD said the victim, whose identity was not disclosed in the report, was walking on her way home on Monday when a van suddenly stopped beside her with the three suspects forcing her to enter the vehicle.

The victim was reportedly dragged inside the vehicle while the suspects covered her mouth and nose with a scented handkerchief that made her dizzy.

The suspects also allegedly blindfolded the victim.

The victim, meanwhile, told the police that she managed to escape the abductors when the suspects took off her blindfold and went outside the van.

She said that she also stabbed one of the suspects using a ballpen before she got away.
