Fire hits Megamall construction site on Thursday night

Fire hit a construction site beside Building B of SM Megamall on EDSA in Mandaluyong City.

According to a Super Radyo dzBB report, the fire which started around 7:35 p.m. has reached the third alarm.

The Metro Manila Development Authority has advised northbound motorists to tak the Shaw Boulevard underpass.

Smoke reaches mall

"There is a fire incident happening in the construction site outside SM Megamall. Our Emergency Response Team, together with the Bureau of Fire Protection are already managing the situation," SM said in a statement.

"Only a portion of the mall is affected by smoke coming from the site. We are taking all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of everyone in complex," it added. NB, GMA News
