2 foreigners shot to death in Manila —police


Two foreigners were killed and two bystanders hurt in a shooting incident in Manila before noon on Saturday, police said.

Quoting Manila Police District's spokesman Superintendent Carlo Manuel, Super Radyo dzBB's Jonathan Andal said the incident occurred at about 11:40 a.m.  along Taft Avenue, near Araullo University.

An initial police investigation showed that the two foreigners, who were yet to be identified, were walking on the sidewalk when the assailants riding tandem on a motorbike came and opened fire. The victims died on the spot

Also, the police said stray bullets hit two lady bystanders, 19 and 24 years old, who were immediately rushed to  a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating the incident for the motive of the attack and the identities of the assailants. —LBG, GMA News
