Parts of Manila, Pasay to have no water for 22 hours


MANILA, Philippines- Some areas of Manila and Pasay City will have no water for 22 hours from 12:30 am until 10:30 pm on Sunday, April 27. In a statement, utility firm Maynilad Water Services Inc. said the service interruption is due to the repair of a leaking mainline along Mabini St. corner Remedios St., Malate, Manila; and rehabilitation activities inside its the Espiritu Pumping Station in San Andres, Manila. The areas that will have no water for 22 hours include the following: In Manila: Pandacan area bounded by PNR, Canonigo and Otis; Paco area bounded by Creek, Pedro Gil, PNR and Otis; area along Vito Cruz St. and its lateral roads from Taft Ave. to Roxas Blvd.; area along San Francisco St. and its lateral streets bounded by MSDR, San Andres St. and Arellano St.; area along F. Torres St. and its lateral streets bounded by MSDR and Arellano St.; area along Estrada St. and its lateral streets bounded by MSDR and Taft Ave.; and area along Vito Cruz St. and its lateral streets bounded by MSDR up to Roxas Blvd.-CCP Complex. In Pasay: Area along Donada St., Leveriza St., F.B. Harrison St., Roxas Blvd. Service Road and their lateral streets from Vito Cruz up to Buendia Ave.; area along Taft Ave. and its lateral streets from Estrada St. up to Buendia Ave.; and area along F.B. Harrison St. and its lateral streets after Buendia Ave. going to Libertad. Maynilad said areas that will experience low pressure to no water include: Paco area bounded by Pedro Gil, Creek and PNR; Malate area bounded by Pres. Quirino, MSDR, San Andres and Anak Bayan; area along Estrada St. and its lateral streets, especially Leon Guinto and Singalong St.; and area along Vito Cruz St. and its lateral streets from Taft Ave. to Roxas Blvd., Manila.
