Pagasa lifts all Storm Signals in RP; more rains to follow as 'Ondoy' exits


While it moved farther away from the Philippine territory Sunday, tropical storm "Ondoy" (Ketsana) will still bring rains over parts of Luzon, state weather forecasters said. In its 11 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said storm signals in all areas had been canceled. "This disturbance is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon and bring occasional rains over the Western Sections of Central and Southern Luzon," it said. As of 10 a.m., Pagasa said "Ondoy" was estimated at 390 kms west of Iba, Zambales, with maximum winds of 105 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 135 kph. It was moving west-northwest at 24 kph and is expected to be 570 kms west-northwest of Iba, Zambales Sunday night. By Monday morning it is expected to be 770 kms west-northwest of Iba, Zambales. - GMANews.TV
