Report: Noynoy visits INC Central Temple in QC

On the eve of his inauguration as the country's 15th president, Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III made a sudden visit to the headquarters of a religious group that backed his presidential bid. Radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported that Aquino and his convoy sped to the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Central Temple in Quezon City early Tuesday. His fast exit from his home at Times Street surprised many media representatives who were staking out his house for an interview.

The report cited information from the INC that Aquino met with Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo. INC announced its support for Aquino's presidential bid and for the vice presidential bid of Aquino's running mate Manuel Roxas II a few days before the May 10 elections. Roxas lost the vice presidency race to Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay. — LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
