TUP grad tops list of 1,594 new mechanical engineers


A graduate from the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) in Manila topped this year’s list of 1,594 successful examinees in the Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday. A total of 2,387 took the exams given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in Manila and Cebu this month, the PRC said. Tied at third place were Alvin John Narvasa Alcorcon of University of Cebu and Apollo Catarman Eleazar Jr. of Mindanao State University-General Santos City, both with 91.40 percent. Others in the top 10 were: 4. Bernhard Ramos Cortez of Bulacan State University-Malolos and Daryl Borcelis Gamez of Bicol University-Legazpi with 91.10 percent; 5. Erwin Mark Dagsa Jacildone of Saint Louis University and Ariel Fernandez Parreño of TUP-Visayas with 91.05 percent; 6. Dexter Endraca Estolonio of TUP-Manila with 90.95 percent; 7. Glenn Ivan Vergara Pasia of TUP-Manila with 90.50 percent; 8. Christian Nick Arradaza Marasigan of Cebu Institute of Technology with 90.45 percent; 9. Mamerto Siacor Valdevia Jr. of West Negros College with 90.15 percent; and 10. Rannie Luzares Banzon of Cebu Institute of Technology with 90.10 percent. - KBK, GMANews.TV
