PRC: 1,026 pass electronics engineer board exams


A total of 1,026 out of 4,715 examinees passed the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examinations given by the Board of Electrical Engineering last month, the Professional Regulation Commission announced Friday. Aside from the 1,026 successful examinees who took their exams in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo last November, the PRC said 16 out of 67 passed the same exam given in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and in Doha, Qatar during the same month. Both scoring 93.40 percent, Antonio Valente Gayoso Macarilay of the Technological Institute of the Philippines-Manila and Wilmit Butardo Nicanor of the Bulacan State University led this year’s set of passers. On the other hand, Eddie Demapitan Clave Jr. of the University of San Agustin and Mark Joseph Ilagan Lian of the De La Salle University-Lipa landed on second place with 93.30 percent. Those who made it to the “Top 10" are: 3. Miguel Carlo Licup Purisima of the University of the Philippines-Diliman – 92.70 percent 4. Ma. Lara Nuguit Bantilo of the University of the East-Caloocan and Darling Angel Gerona Montealto of the Cebu Institute of Technology – 90.70 5. Leo Augustus Lim Sy of the De La Salle University-Manila – 90.50 6. Mirgel Vincent Umali Esteron of the University of the Philippines Diliman – 90.10 7. Jomar Bagtas Andrade of the Far Eastern University East Asia College and Nick Ivan Espino Paltiguera of the Central Philippine University – 89.90 8. Leah Tiongco Decasa of the Holy Name University (for Divine Word-Tagbilaran) – 89.70 9. Jennifer Antonio Aquilizan of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sto. Tomas and Francis Joy Tayag Nucom of the Holy Angel University – 89.10 10. Clifford Raniego Baang of the Mindanao University of Science and Technology – 89.00. Registration for the issuance of professional identification (ID) card and Certificate of Registration will start on December 8 and will end on December 14. Registrants are required to bring the following: duly accomplished oath form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current community tax certificate (cedula), two pieces passport size ID picture (colored and with white background, and complete nametag), one piece 1" x 1" picture (colored and with white background and complete nametag), two sets of metered documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope bearing name and profession. They shall likewise be asked to pay an initial registration fee of P600 and an annual registration fee of P450 for 2010 to 2013, the PRC said. According to the PRC, the oath-taking ceremonies will be held on December 21 at 1 p.m. at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City; and in Cebu on December 19 at 8 a.m. at the Mariners Court ALU Compound, Pier 1, Cebu City. – LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
