Classes still suspended in parts of NCR, Rizal, Bulacan


(Updated 9:11 a.m.) - One week after the heavy rain and floods that swamped Metro Manila and nearby provinces, classes remained suspended in parts of Metro Manila and Rizal provinces Tuesday.
 
In Manila, classes were still suspended at St. Jude College at all levels because power had not yet been restored, radio dzBB reported.
 
Classes were also suspended at Imaculada Concepcion School in Pasig City, from the preschool to Grade V levels, the report added.
 
In Taguig City, classes were suspended in Napindan Elementary School and E.C. Santos Elementary School.
 
Taguig was one of the areas placed under a state of calamity in the wake of heavy rain and floods last week.
 
Rizal
 
In Rizal province, the Department of Education said classes were suspended in:
 
San Mateo: Maly Elementary School, Dona Pepeng Elementary School, and San Mateo Elementary School.
 
Angono: Angono Elementary School and National High School, Joaquin Guido Elementary School, San Vicente Elementary School, Dona Justa Elementary School. 
Taytay: Sitio Tapayan Elementary School, Muzon Elementary School, San Juan Elementary School, Bagong Pag-asa Elementary School, Manuel Santos Memorial National High School, Antonio Esguerra Memorial National High School. Classes were also suspended in Exodus Elementary School, according to a report on Unang Hirit.  Bulacan
 
In Calumpit, Bulacan, classes were also suspended for all levels in all public schools except Metro San Marcos, according to a report on GMA News' News to Go. –With a report from Carmela Lapeña/KG, GMA News
