PNoy arrives at Batasan for final SONA
By ANDREO CALONZO, GMA News
President Benigno Aquino III arrived at the Batasan Complex in Quezon City on Monday afternoon for his sixth and final State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Upon the arrival, Aquino, who travelled to the venue by land after hours of heavy rain, was received by Armed Forces chief Gen. Hernando Iriberri, who was appointed to the military’s top post earlier this month.
Also part of the President’s reception party were the sergeants-of-arms of the two chambers of Congress, retired MGen. Jose Balajadia Jr. and retired police Chief Supt. Nicasio Radovan Jr.
Senate President Franklin Drilon and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr., meanwhile, welcomed Aquino to the House of Representatives building.
