San Juan said the Marcos family has done “so much” to usher the province’s progress especially during the term of Marcos Jr.’s father, the late dictator, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

“Makakaasa po kayo ang Rizalenos will forever remain a Marcos country,” San Juan said.

Meanwhile, the Ynares family led by Ynares Jr. raised Marcos’ hands as a symbol of support.

Marcos thanked the political leaders of Rizal, as well as the employees of the provincial capitol for the warm welcome and promised that more livelihood assistance will be extended to the province if he is elected as vice president.

“Tama po ang sinabi ni Vice Gov na malapit ang Rizal sa amin at malapit kami sa Rizal. Kaya hindi po mawawala sa isip ng inyong kandidato at ng pamilyang Marcos na talagang tumutulong at iniisip kung paano ang gagawin para mapaganda ang kabuhayan dito,” Marcos said.

Before visiting the provincial capitol, Marcos also took part in the flag-raising rites at the Antipolo City hall. Marcos also visited the towns of Teresa, Morong, Tanay, Baras, Pililla and Jalajala.

Marcos had earlier secured the endorsements of several dominant political figures in north Luzon, namely, former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson, incumbent Pangasinan governor Amado Espino Jr. and gubernatorial aspirant Mark Cojuangco, incumbent San Fernando City, La Union Mayor Pablo Ortega and gubernatorial aspirant Mario Ortega.
