GUEST LIST WAS 'LIMITED'

Robredo camp: Malacañang took back invite for Vin d'honneur

Malacañang took back its invitation to Vice President Leni Robredo for the first Vin d'honneur led by President Rodrigo Duterte, her camp said on Wednesday.

In a statement, Robredo's spokesperson Georgina Hernandez said an invitation for the event was sent to their office via e-mail last December 28. The invite was withdrawn a week later.

"On January 4, Malacañang called the Office to retract the invitation, stating that the guest list was limited," Hernandez said.

Robredo resigned as Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) chair last December 5, after receiving a directive to "desist from attending" Cabinet meetings. — VVP, GMA News
