Japan PM Abe visits Duterte in his Davao home
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the house of President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City on Friday.
In a Facebook post, Special Assistant to the President Secretary Christopher "Bong" Go said Duterte also showed Abe his bedroom, including his mosquito net.
During the 45 minutes that Abe was in Duterte's house, 10 minutes was spent touring the President's bedroom. Only two other people accompanied Duterte and Abe.
Go said Abe was served biko, suman, kutsinta, and mongo soup during his visit to Duterte's home.
Malacañang said Abe was also served with pickled banana blossom with ginger, onion, and tomato in native vinaigrette; fruits such as ripe mango, pomelo, and rambutan; and drinks like Earl Gray black tea, coffee, and buko juice.
Palace photos showed that Abe's wife, Akie Abe, and Duterte's common-law wife, Cielito "Honeylet" Avanceña joined the leaders during the visit.
