Duterte: When I go to hell, I'd tell Satan that De Lima should be queen there

President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday admitted that he's on the road to perdition because of the life he's lived, but said that Senator Leila De Lima should be in an even worse standing in the afterlife.

Duterte made the pronouncement during before the Filipino community at the Royal Thai Navy Headquarters in Thailand, where he once again went on a tirade against De Lima, who he has accused of being responsible for the proliferation of illegal drugs in the New Bilibid Prison.

Eh totoo man,” he said amid loud cheers.

De Lima, a fierce critic of Duterte's war on drugs, is currently in jail over drug charges. She has denied all accusations, saying that her criticism of Duterte made her the President's target.

Duterte, however, denied that the charges against De Lima were made up.

Kami ba naman mag-imbento ng—I will never never never iyong ganoon lalo na kung babae mag-imbento ako ng istorya," he said.

Do not do it. Ngayon, mag-isa siya," he added.

Duterte poked fun at the plight of De Lima, who is detained at Camp Crame where she has been reduced to writing handwritten statements against the administration.

“De Lima, gusto ako ipatanggal. Ano ang ginawa? Iyan ang tragedy sabi nga nila eh. The tragedy is siya iyong Secretary of Justice, hawak niya iyong presuhan. Siya mismo went into trafficking. No bail iyan. Sige sulat, sige mura sa akin. Ayaw pang admitahin.

Duterte also had choice words for what he called De Lima's thick face.

Balewala eh,” he added.

Duterte said prison guards should stay away from De Lima, who had admitted that her driver Ronnie Dayan had also been her lover. Dayan was also implicated in the cases.

Palayo kayo. Doon kayo sa ibang preso. Ma-isyu pa tayo niyan.’ Iyong guwardiya pati iyong driver, lahat naratsada,” he said.

—JST, GMA News
