‘PABIRO TALAGA AKO SA BABAE’

Duterte admits to being a flirt

In front of hundreds of ladies who attended Friday's "Digong Day for Women" at the Malacañang Palace, President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he was an incorrigible flirt.

Duterte recounted a recent incident, in which he would not let go of a young woman's hand, despite her squirming.

"Pabiro ako sa babae... ganoon talaga ako... There was this attack against me holding the hand of a woman... she was struggling... Actually sa ayaw at sa hindi man niya aminin, aminin man niya, talagang kasintahan ko siya non... ang ginawa ko kasi magkatabi kami... iyang worm na brown na pag ginalaw mo mag-ikot, 'yung mag-curl bigla... wala man ako singsing na maibigay, ito lang," said the president.

"Pabiro ako maski sa publiko, ganon talaga ako... kahit mag-speech ako, 'yung formal? Mahaluan ko talaga ng... di naman ako nagpapatawa pero I usually veer. That's why I do not read speeches," he added.

He mentioned that Senator Panfilo Lacson had, as a birthday wish for him, hoped he would start behaving like a statesman.

"Statesman... statesman... Si Lacson man nakikita ko dito, di man ako. Ikaw na lang mag-presidente sunod... di talaga ako maging statesman. Ang ugali ko I remained to be mayor. 'Yung basta kung ano lang sabihin diyan, parang nasa sabungan..." he said.

Nevertheless, Duterte paid tribute to the sacrifices women have made for their families, especially female OFWs.

"I lay the predicate... it is not news to us na na-rape doon, tumalon doon sa ikapalapag whatever... mag-suicide... There are cases na abuses na are just being tolerated because they cannot report to anybody. They might as well bring with them 'yung pills wherever they go para di kayo mabuntis... otherwise pagdating dito manganak diyan sa toilet," Duterte said.
