Duterte offers P1-M bounty for each Abu Sayyaf who survived Bohol clash

President Rodrigo Duterte has offered a P1-million reward for each member of the Abu Sayyaf who escaped the joint police and military operaton in Inabanga, Bohol, earlier this month.

"My order to the police and to the lahat, and even to the civilians wherein they should do fight and killing, ang order ko is dead or alive. Kaya iyong anim na maybe scouring the safety nets kung saan sila maka-landing, I have a P1 million offer per person," Duterte said Wednesday after a command conference in Bohol.

"Tip lang: bigay mo sa pulis pati sa military, no questions asked, we’ll not even give you names. Sabi mo lang kung saan sila then gobyerno na ang bahala," he added.

The military had earlier said five Abu Sayyaf members were able to escape the security operation launched after it received information that 11 members of the terrorist group arrived in Inabanga from Indanan, Sulu, last April 11.

The operation resulted in the deaths of six Abu Sayyaf members, including Muammar "Abu Rami" Askali, a sub-leader.

The military said the Abu Sayyaf members arrived in Inabanga through the help of local contacts.

Three soldiers and one policeman were killed in the clash. —KBK, GMA News
