Duterte says AFP ordered to kill remaining Abu Sayyaf members in Bohol

President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday said he wants the military to kill the remaining terrorists in Bohol.

Speaking at the opening of the 2017 Palarong Pambansa in Antique, Duterte said: "Diyan sa Bohol, may hinahabol pa sila. I told the military, 'wag kayong matulog ... Hanapin n'yo, patayin ninyo 'yan."

"I want them dead. 'Wag mong ibigay sa akin 'yan nang buhay," he said.

Abu Sayyaf members led by Muaamar Askali alias Abu Rami slipped into Bohol, through Inabanga town, last April 11.

Joint police and military teams killed Askali and five other Abu Sayyaf members during clashes the same day.

Four more Abu Sayyaf members, including Bohol native Joselito Melloria, were killed by the military in clashes in Clarin town on Saturday.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines said three more Abu Sayyaf members are being hunted down by its troops in Clarin.

Bohol Governor Edgardo Chatto said Sunday that the military has sealed off Inabanga and Clarin towns as troops continue to pursue the remaining Abu Sayyaf intruders.

'Kainin ko atay niyan'

The President noted that terrorism is one of the biggest problems of the country.

He said "it would have been heaven" without terrorism and the drug problem.

He called terrorists "animals" and warned that he can be the same. He even said he can eat them.

"They cut other people's throats, slit it just to decapitate. They're animals. But if you want me to be an animal, sanay rin ako diyan. Pareho lang tayo," he said.

"I can dish out, go down to what you can [do], 50 times over. Kainin pa kita sa harap ko. Bigyan mo lang ako ng suka, asin. I will eat you," he added.

"Totoo. Galitin mo ako? Bigyan mo ako terorista, bigyan mo ako asin at suka, kainin ko atay niyan," he went on. —ALG, GMA News
