Househelp ‘steals’ P3M from employer, stolen items posted online

An estimated P3 million worth of cash and valuables were allegedly stolen by a housemaid from her employer, a report by Emil Sumangil on "24 Oras" said on Tuesday.

The suspect was identified as Myrna Zamora, who had been working for the Luna family for almost two years.

Zamora even posted photos on her Facebook account, which showed the items owned by her employer.

"Wala naman po siyang pinakita po na di maganda na ugali pero nung nakaraang linggo po... ilang araw po siyang nagdaday-off. Lagi po siyang umiinom tapos minsan di po natutulog," said Arianne Luna.

According to the report, Zamora left Luna's house last Holy Wednesday, April 12. She brought with her cash, gadgets and pieces of jewelry.

The Luna family sent a text message to Zamora, asking her about the stolen items, however, Zamora just responded with cuss words.

Luna sought help from the public on whoever could give information about Zamora.

"Kung sino man po 'yung nakakita po or nakakakilala dito sa babaeng ito eh ipaalam po sa amin kasi talagang sinaid po kami eh. Walang-wala na po talaga kami," Luna said.

Meanwhile, authorities reminded the public to be extra cautious in dealing with their household helpers.

"Wag kaagad magtitiwala kasi 'yung pagtitiwala di naman po nabubuo sa isang araw lang at iiwan na ang katulong," said PO2 Sarah Julaton of the Caloocan Police.
