Mocha Uson says no more cussing but denies blog has editors

Presidential Communications Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson on Monday clarified that her blog does not go through editors as her boss Secretary Martin Andanar told reporters last week.

Uson posted the denial on her Facebook page that has over five million followers.

She added that the only change since she was appointed communications assistant secretary was the absence of expletives.

“Hindi na po ako nagmumura,” Uson told GMA News Online.

On Friday, Andanar told reporters that Uson was getting editors for her Facebook account.

Andanar also said in a radio interview on June 24 that Uson should be more "circumspect" about her Facebook posts especially now that she had become part of the Malacañang’s communications arm.

He said he even advised Uson to hire people to help her manage her page.

The statements were made after she reposted a photo of Honduras policemen with a caption asking for prayers for the Philippine Army amid the Marawi City crisis.

Andanar has yet to respond to Uson’s latest remarks as of posting time.

“Para sa kaalaman ng lahat - hindi po totoo ang balitang maglalagay tayo ng editor sa ating blog. Ang MOCHA USON BLOG ay hindi kailangan i-filter dahil ito ay boses ng ordinaryong Pilipino,” Uson said.

Uson rose to social media fame during the 2016 elections as an avid supporter of then-Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. Her girl group Mocha Girls performed ay Duterte’s campaign rallies.

She was initially appointed as a member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board a few months after Duterte won the presidency. —NB/KVD, GMA News
