LOOK: PHL'S COVFEFE?

Andanar sends memo to PCOO socmed managers after ‘fafda’ tweet

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar on Friday handed a memorandum to the social media managers of his department after @PresidentialCom tweeted gibberish, similar to US President Donald Trump's controversial "covfefe" tweet.

Andanar said that PCOO Twitter administrator Angel Abella, not related to presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella, posted the tweet.

"It was an accidental tweet made by Angel Abella, one of our Twitter admins. It doesn't mean anything so she deleted it right away. I immediately wrote a memo to all of our social media admins to be more careful," he told reporters in a text message.

Andanar has yet to provide a copy of the memorandum.

As of 4:05 p.m., #fafda is the third top trending topic on Twitter in the Philippines.

Trump's "covfefe" tweet last June unleashed a wave of sometimes mocking speculation by Internet users wondering what the U.S. president meant by that apparently unfinished Twitter post that lingered online for hours. — MDM, GMA News
