Shipments allegedly smuggled by Lacson son’s cement firm, according to Faeldon

Parrying accusations of bribery, Customs chief Nicanor Faeldon on Thursday turned the tables on Senator Panfilo Lacson by accusing the lawmaker's son of being engaged in the big-time smuggling of cement.

Faeldon provided the media, during a press conference, with a list of the shipments by Bonjourno, the company of the senator's son, Panfilo "Pampi" Lacson Jr.

The Customs chief said Lacson Jr. had only P20,000 in capital but Bonjourno was still able to import the cement in sixty-seven shiploads identified on the list that were altogether worth 4.6 billion pesos.

The Customs chief alleged that Pampi owned the undervalued (by at least 50-percent) shipment he and his appointed officers discovered during their first few days in office.
